Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili on Monday said there were forces in the world that were seeking instability and war, warning that amid major global confrontations Georgia has faced and continues to face threats.
Botchorishvili made the remarks while commenting on a recent statement by Tulsi Gabbard, the US Director of National Intelligence.
“It is good that this is being spoken about openly from Washington, and it is good that what we have been emphasising for a very long time has turned out to be based on sound assessments and positions. The pragmatic policy that Georgia has pursued over recent years has been fully justified.”
Gabbard earlier stated that the so-called deep state and its affiliated media aim to undermine President Donald Trump’s efforts to establish peace in Ukraine.
According to Gabbard, NATO and the European Union want to draw US troops directly into a war with Russia. She also said that Russia currently lacks the capability to conquer and occupy the entirety of Ukraine.
