Bidzina Ivanishvili says past corruption-related challenges within party have been overcome

Bidzina Ivanishvili, founder and Honorary Chair of the Georgian Dream party, on Saturday reviewed past corruption-related challenges within the ruling team and said they had been fully and effectively overcome thanks to the effective work of the Prime Minister, the government team and law enforcement agencies.

According to a statement released by Georgian Dream following Saturday’s meetings of the party’s political council and parliamentary majority, members of the ruling team discussed ongoing political and economic developments in the country.

“The party’s Honorary Chair thanked team members for their active work. Bidzina Ivanishvili reviewed past corruption-related challenges within the team and noted that, as a result of the effective work of the Prime Minister, the government team and law enforcement agencies, these challenges had been fully and effectively overcome”, the statement said.
