Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday announced that a decision has been made to include Georgian parliamentary majority leader Irakli Kirtskhalia and Adjara Government Chair Zurab Pataradze in the Political Council of the ruling Georgian Dream party.
Kobakhidze outlined the issues discussed at meetings of Georgian Dream’s Political Council and parliamentary majority at the party’s Gorgasali office, noting that both were chaired by party founder and Honorary Chair Bidzina Ivanishvili.
The Prime Minister noted that the meetings addressed current domestic and foreign political issues.
“It was very important for both Political Council members and members of the parliamentary majority to hear the views of the party’s Honorary Chair, Mr Bidzina Ivanishvili, on specific issues. Both meetings were held in a discussion format and were very interesting. These were the matters discussed at both meetings”, Kobakhidze said.
Regarding the Political Council, he noted that the party’s statute allows for its expansion and confirmed that a decision had been made to include Kirtskhalia and Pataradze in its membership.
