Georgia’s rapid economic development - particularly in tourism and aviation - has created new opportunities for international airlines to enter the country, add new routes, and significantly increase Georgia’s connectivity with the world’s leading aviation hubs, said on Thursday Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
Speaking at the presentation of the Tbilisi International Airport expansion project, Kobakhidze emphasised that these developments were strengthening Georgia’s role in both the regional and global aviation landscape.
“The state acts as a guarantor of stability and fair rules. We are creating an environment where investment, innovation, and high standards align, while the government ensures stability and fairness. This approach enables us to take future-oriented steps that enhance Georgia’s position in international aviation and deliver sustainable benefits for every citizen”, the PM said.
Kobakhidze expressed gratitude to all those involved in preparing the landmark agreement, including international partners, government agencies, and professionals working daily to advance Georgia’s aviation sector.
He offered special thanks to Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili and her team, praising their leadership in negotiations with foreign partners.
