With the support of the National Wine Agency and the organisation of the agency’s contracted marketing company Red Bridge, Georgian wine was presented in the city of Fukuoka, Japan.
A presentation on Georgia’s winemaking culture, history, grape varieties, and modern wine industry was delivered by Kenichi Ohashi, the Director of Red Bridge and the only Master of Wine in Japan.
He also introduced guests to eight Georgian wines from various winemaking regions of Georgia. The event was attended by sommeliers, importers, buyers, representatives of retail networks, and media - around 100 guests in total.
Fukuoka, a port city, is considered an important industrial center in Japan. The marketing activities carried out in this city are significant for increasing the awareness and popularity of Georgian wine both in the Fukuoka prefecture and more broadly in the Japanese wine market.
The National Wine Agency has been cooperating with Red Bridge since 2017.
The company’s activities in the strategic Japanese market include various marketing events for Georgian wine. The goal of these events is to promote awareness and, consequently, demand for Georgian wine in the Japanese market.
