Serbian President praises Georgia’s exceptional economic growth

During a joint press conference with Georgian President Mikheil Kavlashvili in Belgrade, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on Thursday lauded Georgia for its remarkable economic performance.

In his remarks, Vučić noted that Georgia was set to become a regional model by next year.

“Show me a country in Europe with economic growth similar to Georgia’s. I want to congratulate Georgia, the Georgian people, and the Georgian state for such extraordinary results”, Vučić said.

“I want to thank President Mikheil Kavlashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. Their country has an enormous growth rate. You can see photos of demonstrations and protests, but Georgia is particularly successful. Sometimes these images might prompt people toward protest, yet the country is achieving 9.4 percent growth. Show me a country in Europe with such economic growth. I want to congratulate Georgia, the Georgian people, and the Georgian state for such amazing results. By next year, you will be a model for the region”, he concluded.
