Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday said that it was his Government’s desire to reboot partnership with the United States from a clean slate and that, if there was a positive decision and goodwill on their part, naturally nothing was standing in the way of restoring the strategic partnership.
In his interview with the Georgian Public Broadcaster, Kobakhidze noted that the main thing was for the country to continue pursuing the pragmatic policy it had chosen.
“The main thing is that we continue pursuing the pragmatic policy we have chosen. As for our relations with the United States, our desire and goal are absolutely clear here as well. Our desire is to restore partnership with the United States from a clean slate. Here too, we are awaiting the position of the United States”, Kobakhidze said.
“We are patiently waiting for all of this. If there is a positive decision and goodwill on their part, naturally nothing will stand in the way of restoring the strategic partnership”, he concluded.
