Gia Volski, an MP from the ruling Georgian Dream party and the First Vice Speaker of the Parliament, on Thursday said that Georgia’s foreign policy path did not change, but Europe changed.
Speaking on the current policy of the European Union leaders, Volski noted that if real changes do not occur in politics, if the truth is not seen and appropriate measures are not taken, this war can turn into an unmitigated disaster that will strike not only Europe, but the entire world.
“The statements made by the European Union leaders today are absolutely contrary to the approaches and visions that the public in these countries, that is, their voters, have. The approval ratings of the leaders of some leading countries have also fallen significantly among their voters. We have been talking about this for years. This became the reason why we supposedly deviated from European standards and why our foreign policy course supposedly changed. Our foreign policy course has not changed - Europe has changed. The topic of security is under a big question mark in Europe today.”, Volski said.
