Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday said that the BBC, once regarded as one of the most reputable broadcasters, has seen its credibility radically decline in recent years.
He made the remarks during today’s briefing in response to a question about the former British Prime Minister Liz Truss’s recent statements.
“Our position aligns completely with that of the former British Prime Minister”, Kobakhidze said, noting that the Georgian Government also raises concerns about issues within European media, specifically the BBC.
Regarding what is often referred to as the deep state, the Prime Minister explained that these are informal forces influencing European politics.
“Of course, they have played a key role in Europe’s decline, and here again, our views coincide completely”, Kobakhidze concluded.
