Rati Ionatamishvili, the Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Human Rights and Civic Integration Committee, on Monday reacted to a BBC article that claimed First World War-era chemical agents had allegedly been used against protesters in Georgia, and said that if they were already writing about chemical agents, they might as well have added biological ones too, since “what difference would it have made to them”.
“The BBC, left without its boss, has been infiltrated by [domestic opposition] activists. If chemical [weapon] wasn’t enough, they could have added a biological one too - what difference would it make to them”, Ionatamishvili said in a social media message.
