Levan Makhashvili, the Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Committee on European Integration, on Wednesday responded to German Ambassador Peter Fischer’s recent statement insisting he has not violated the Vienna Convention.
Makhashvili noted that the Ambassador’s actions amount to interference in Georgia’s internal affairs.
“When you comment on Georgia’s political developments and domestic politics on a daily basis, when you encourage hunger-striking radicals, when you assist these radical groups in various political ways, when you express support for these political forces, when you make statements during the elections - of course this is interference in the country’s internal affairs. I don’t know which document he is reading or in what language he is reading it”, Makhashvili said.
