An agreement on cooperation was signed on Friday between the Georgian Interior Minister Geka Geladze and his Azerbaijani counterpart Vilayat Eyvazov.
Agreement would contribute to further strengthening the existing partnership between the relevant agencies of the two countries, including in the areas of crime prevention, detection, and suppression.
The areas of cooperation outlined in the document cover priority directions such as the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, cybercrime, trafficking in human beings, illegal migration, and property-related crimes.
Additionally, an expanded-format bilateral meeting was held between the parties, during which discussions focused on sectoral reforms, ongoing projects, and the importance of sharing information and experience within the framework of police cooperation.
The ministers once again emphasized the existing fruitful cooperation and expressed their readiness to further strengthen ties.
