Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi and Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Monday said that blackmail and threats against Georgia continued regarding the new visa-free travel rules.
In his remarks, Kaladze noted that this was a continuation of the rhetoric the European Union used toward Georgia in recent years.
“Blackmail and threats continue. We have heard numerous statements regarding Georgia. These attacks are a continuation of the rhetoric directed at our country over the past years. In general, everyone is well aware of the issue of informal governance, which represents a major problem in the modern world”, he said.
“Even the United States President Donald Trump spoke about this, stating that, first and foremost, he would defeat informal governance. However, nothing like this has happened so far, and no steps have been taken in this direction. Let’s see what happens in the future”, Kaladze concluded.
