Giorgi Kakhiani, the Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, on Thursday said the Georgian Government was pursuing policies that were serving the interests of the country and its society.
Kakhiani’s comments came after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday stated that the European Union had no authority to define international law or to instruct the United States on how to defend its national security, emphasising that the country was under attack from organized criminal narco-terrorist groups and that “US President Donald Trump is responding in the defense of the country”.
Vice Speaker noted that Georgia would never follow someone else’s instructions.
“We will never follow someone else’s instructions, especially when we see that these instructions could be harmful to the country and do not align with the interests of society”, he said.
