Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Executive Secretary of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Tuesday claimed that if the United States President Donald Trump and his new administration succeeded in defeating the deep state, it would have a direct impact on Georgia.
In his remarks over the matter, Mdinaradze noted that if Trump's declared stance and promise to dismantle the deep state were fulfilled, it would be extremely important and beneficial for Georgia.
“If, unfortunately, this does not happen, it will have a negative impact on Georgia. It’s a simple equation. If Trump and his new administration manage to defeat the deep state as promised, we will all feel the effects, and naturally, the reboot process will become much easier. Otherwise, the current situation will continue, but Georgia, given the level of independence it has already achieved, will be able to safeguard itself and continue its development”, he concluded.
