Opposition party member vandalises Imedi TV property

Levan Gogichashvili, a member of the opposition Gakharia for Georgia party, on Friday spray-painted the central banner of Imedi TV company, an act that the TV company denounced as vandalism and property damage.

The incident was captured on security cameras outside Imedi TV's headquarters.

Imedi TV formally appealed to law enforcement. Damage to property is an offence and is punishable under Article 187 of the Criminal Code.

Earlier that evening, members of Giorgi Gakharia’s party staged a protest outside Imedi TV.
