Hunnewell Cement hosts 8th International Quality Conference, signaling industry growth, new investments in Georgia

Hunnewell Cement recently hosted its 8th International Quality Conference, an event that brought together a diverse group of industry stakeholders, including clients, construction companies, developers, and international experts in cement technology.

Irakli Rukhadze, founder of Hunnewell Partners and owner of Imedi TV, highlighted the conference's significance in fostering collaboration and showcasing advancements within the sector.

“It was a very interesting conference that gathered representatives of our industry, as well as our customers, construction companies, developers, and invited guests who develop the technical side of cement”, Rukhadze said.

He noted that representatives from research institutes and architectural firms delivered insightful presentations on the industry's evolving landscape.

Rukhadze also addressed the increasing demand for construction materials in Georgia and outlined major upcoming projects. He affirmed Hunnewell Cement's commitment to growth and new investments.

“Demand is increasing in Georgia, and large-scale projects will continue. These include development projects - residential, office, and various types of real estate - as well as continued development of hydroelectric power plants. Construction of ports, airports, and roads will also begin”, he continued.

“That’s why this industry has a very bright future, and we are growing as well. Hunnewell Cement is making new investments. We are growing both vertically - that is, in the areas we are already involved in - and horizontally, by expanding into new directions within construction materials”, he noted.

Rukhadze further added that the company would start producing types of construction materials that haven't been produced before.

“In this regard, we are likely to partner with one of the world’s largest construction materials companies, which will help us bring their know - how to Georgia. So, we are very optimistic about the future and will continue growing, because the country is developing well, the economy is growing, and Hunnewell Cement will also grow and continue to serve just as we have until now”, he said.

The 8th International Quality Conference served as a platform to review the past year's achievements and emphasize the importance of developing quality standards and implementing innovative approaches within the industry.
