Levan Davitashvili, the First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, on Tuesday said the entry of Emaar Properties/Eagle Hills, a prominent developer from the United Arab Emirates, into the Georgian market would significantly stimulate the country's real estate sector and introduce new standards.
Speaking at an economic forum focused on Georgia’s investment policy and emerging opportunities, Davitashvili emphasised Emaar’s strong brand recognition and extensive experience.
“Emaar is a very well-known company, a recognizable brand, a name, and also an experienced partner. I think its entry into the Georgian market will stimulate the entire sector and introduce new standards, which I think will help other representatives of the industry to some extent”, the Minister said.
Emaar Properties/Eagle Hills plans to invest a record $6 billion in Georgia's real estate and tourism sectors.
The company is renowned for its large-scale projects in the UAE, including the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest skyscraper, the Dubai Mall, and luxurious developments on the Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi, as well as projects in the Dubai Marina's elite resort area.
