Credit rating agency Moody's has affirmed Georgia's sovereign credit rating at Ba2. This decision reflects the country's stable economic situation, according to the agency's latest report.
The report highlights the resilience of Georgia's banking sector, evidenced by its profitability and robust capital and liquidity metrics. These factors provide crucial buffers in the event of economic shocks.
Moody’s expects Georgia to maintain robust economic growth, projecting a 6 percent GDP increase in 2025.
However, despite the stable rating, Moody’s has revised the country’s outlook from “stable” to “negative”, citing increasing geopolitical risks and ongoing political developments as key concerns.
