Georgian Defence Minister, US Embassy officials discuss defence cooperation

Georgian Vice Prime Minister and Defence Minister Irakli Chikovani on Wednesday held an introductory meeting with the new US Defence Attaché, Colonel Jonathan Adams, and the new Head of the US Office of Defence Cooperation, Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Underwood.

The meeting, facilitated by the US Chargé d’Affaires Alan Purcell, took place at the Ministry of Defence in Tbilisi.

Chikovani welcomed Colonel Adams and Lieutenant Colonel Underwood, wishing them success in their roles in Georgia.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral defence cooperation between Georgia and the United States, as well as outlining future plans to enhance their strategic partnership.
