Georgian Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili on Tuesday said the construction work of the Anaklia deep sea port, being implemented by the Georgian Government, was already in an active phase.
In her remarks, Kvrivishvili noted that the Government had a declared policy to receive the first ship in the Anaklia deep sea port in 2029, emphasizing the importance of systematically continuing to develop the country's transport and logistics infrastructure in this regard.
“Today, the construction of the Anaklia Port, which is being implemented by the Georgian government, is already in an active phase. You know that we have a declared policy to receive the first ship in the Anaklia deep sea port in 2029, and for this it is important to systematically continue the development of our transport and logistics infrastructure, be it port, rail or road infrastructure, so that Georgia can provide its partner countries with the infrastructure and services that represent an important link in the supply chain, the main connecting function between Asia and Europe”, she concluded.
