A large-scale coordinated operation has been carried out in Georgia with the participation of the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, the United States Secret Service, the Central Cybercrime Bureau of Poland, and the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Łódź, as well as the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
According to the statement of the Georgian Prosecutor’s Office, the special operation - prepared in cooperation with international partners and supported by Eurojust and Europol - involved around 100 law enforcement officers from the United States, Poland, and Georgia. Investigative actions were conducted across dozens of locations throughout Georgian territory.
During the operation, searches were carried out at private residences, vehicles, and workplaces. Authorities seized significant electronic evidence and documentation relevant to the investigation. In parallel, assets suspected of being acquired through money laundering were frozen, including 173 vehicles, high-value real estate properties, and funds held in bank accounts.
As part of the joint operation, two foreign nationals suspected of involvement in organized crime were arrested on June 10 in the Adjara region.
Investigators from multiple jurisdictions have established that an organized criminal group operating under the pseudonym AudiA6, active since 2022, facilitated the laundering of cryptocurrency proceeds derived from cybercrime. The group provided services to cybercriminals worldwide, enabling them to obscure the origins of illicit funds and evade law enforcement detection in exchange for substantial financial gain. Between 2022 and 2025, members of the group are believed to have laundered cryptocurrency worth several hundred million US dollars.
In addition, the group is accused of operating a cybercrime forum known as Dark2Web, which was used to advertise illegal services and connect cybercriminal actors globally.
Authorities emphasized that combating transnational crime remains a key priority and highlighted the importance of continued international cooperation in tackling cyber-enabled financial offenses. The Georgian Prosecutor’s Office expressed gratitude to all participating agencies and reaffirmed its commitment to close cooperation with international partners in the fight against organized cybercrime.
