Georgia places special importance on further deepening cooperation with China, which, based on the experience of the past 50 years, is the only peaceful superpower in the world, said on Wednesday Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze noted that the strategic partnership between Georgia and China is not merely a formal agreement on paper but one that brings specific benefits to both countries.
“It is absolutely clear that this is not a strategic partnership that exists only on paper, rather, it is reflected in very tangible benefits for both countries. This is exactly what an exemplary strategic partnership between two nations should be - one that is based on mutual respect, fairness, and dignity, and focused on mutual benefit”, he said.
“Although China is a superpower of enormous scale, the Chinese authorities developed cooperation with us in the shortest possible time and with maximum efficiency. What is particularly commendable is that the Chinese Government treats our country as an equal partner, which is especially noteworthy and appreciated against the backdrop of the existing shortcomings in global politics”, Kobakhidze continued.
The Prime Minister thanked the Chinese authorities for their unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
