Georgia is moving forward through a path of reforms, but the country will never act as an “errand boy” for Brussels, said on Saturday Thea Tsulukiani, the Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, during an appearance on the political talk show Open Air - Debates.
Tsulukiani emphasised that the ruling Georgian Dream party has successfully driven the nation’s progress, pointing to official European Union documentation as proof of Georgia’s achievements.
“The documents of the European Union and the European Commission themselves prove that we are ahead of Moldova and Ukraine”, Tsulukiani said.
However, she argued that despite these tangible results, Georgia’s progress is currently being overlooked by Western partners due to Tbilisi’s independent political stance.
“Unlike in previous periods, this is not being acknowledged today. It is not being acknowledged because Brussels has realized that we will not be an errand boy at any cost. Let them look for errand boys in other countries”, she added.
