Georgia has been, is and will be a reliable friend and partner of the American people, said the Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Giorgi Zurabashvili in his speech at the event marking Georgia’s Independence Day.
“At the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Georgia is a vital bridge for markets, peoples, and ideas. At a time when many traditional routes face increasing uncertainty, the Middle Corridor is a critical path for global trade, energy security, and connectivity. Energy pipelines, railways, highways, ports, and a connection to the Black Sea make Georgia an indispensable link between East and West. International consortiums pipe crude oil and gas to the West, providing it with much-needed energy resources. Our infrastructure serves not only economic development, but also energy diversification, transport, regional stability, and international security”, Zurabashvili said.
“I would like to share with you a very important message. I believe this message must be delivered personally to you – our friends and partners who share our common goals. Georgia has been, is and will be a reliable friend and partner of the American people. The Georgian Government supports the White House and the United States. We are ready to deepen and strengthen our strategic partnership with the United States”, he concluded.
