Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday described the newly inaugurated Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line as a historic project, emphasising its importance for regional connectivity and cooperation among Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.
In his address, Kobakhidze noted that the railway project demonstrated the effectiveness of regional collaboration and reflected the strong ties among the three partner countries.
“Today is a very important day. We have inaugurated a historic project - the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line. As you know, Georgia attaches special importance to the development of its transit function and to strengthening our connectivity capabilities. In this regard, cooperation between Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey is of particular importance”, he said.
The Prime Minister stressed that cooperation with neighbouring Azerbaijan and Turkey plays a crucial role in achieving these objectives.
“This project is the best demonstration of how closely we cooperate with our friendly countries. Of course, this cooperation should continue to deepen. Today is the clearest expression of our successful partnership”, Kobakhidze concluded.
