At an event marking Police Day, Georgian Vice Prime Minister and State Minister for Coordination of Law Enforcement Agencies Mamuka Mdinaradze delivered a speech expressing gratitude to police officers for their service and dedication.
“I want to sincerely thank you for every single day you have devoted to your work and your selfless commitment to duty”, Mdinaradze said.
He emphasised that the professionalism, courage, and daily efforts of police officers play a vital role in Georgia’s development, strength, independence, and national pride.
Recalling fallen officers, Mdinaradze paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the line of duty.
“I remember the heroic police officers who sacrificed their lives in service to the homeland. I bow in respect to their memory. I express solidarity with their families and loved ones, who carry the pain of this heavy loss with pride”, he said.
He added that police officers remain a cornerstone of public safety and a source of hope for society, protecting the future of children and ensuring national stability.
According to Mdinaradze, Georgia’s current level of independence and sovereignty is also the result of law enforcement officers’ work and sacrifice.
“If today we can confidently say that Georgia has never been so independent and free, and that decisions about our homeland and our people are made within our own country, this is largely your merit”, he stated.
Concluding his address, Mdinaradze congratulated officers on Police Day and wished them peace, strength, health, and continued success. “We serve our homeland, Georgia!” he said.
