Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Tuesday congratulated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and the people of Georgia on the occasion of Georgia’s Independence Day.
In a congratulatory letter, the Turkish leader wished prosperity and well-being to the friendly Georgian people and highlighted the strong ties between the two neighbouring countries.
“Dear Mr. Prime Minister, on behalf of myself and the Turkish people, I sincerely congratulate you and the Georgian people on the Independence Day of neighboring and friendly Georgia”, Erdoğan said in a letter.
The Turkish President also recalled Prime Minister Kobakhidze’s visit to the Antalya Diplomacy Forum last month, where the two leaders discussed further deepening the strategic partnership, close friendship, and exemplary cooperation between Turkey and Georgia.
Erdoğan noted that strengthening bilateral relations serves the interests of both nations, as well as regional stability and prosperity.
“I take this opportunity once again to wish you health and happiness, and the friendly people of Georgia prosperity”, the letter reads.
