Georgian vice prime minister and state minister for coordination of law enforcement agencies Mamuka Mdinaradze on Tuesday emphasised Georgia's national sovereignty and democratic integrity.
Speaking to journalists, Mdinaradze characterised the current administration as a direct reflection of the Georgian people’s will, describing this alignment as a cornerstone of the country's independence.
“We are proud, we love our people and our country, and we have faith”, Mdinaradze stated. “If Georgians are to be ‘blamed’ for anything, let it be for having the government they actually want. This is our main achievement - that those whom the Georgian people desire are the ones in power”.
He contrasted Georgia’s political landscape with the global situation, noting that many nations in the modern world struggle with external influence.
Mdinaradze argued that unlike many countries where governments are “dictated from the outside”, Georgia maintains a leadership chosen by its own people.
Mdinaradze also credited the government’s policies for the country's current stability. He acknowledged that while no administration is perfect, the results speak for themselves.
“With our pluses and minuses, this is who we are”, Mdinaradze concluded. “The fact that the people’s choice is reflected in their leadership should only be a source of pride”.
