Georgian prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday said that incorrect listing of the names of Georgia’s president and foreign minister on the German foreign ministry’s website does not affect Tbilisi, but he is interested in when “German bureaucracy” will resolve what he described as a “comical situation”.
Responding to a journalist’s question, the prime minister noted that the Georgian side has little subjective interest in the issue, adding that it is primarily a matter of curiosity as to when the German administration will correct what he said was a mistake of its own making.
“We have little subjective interest here. What interests us more is when the German administration, German bureaucracy will decide to come out of this completely comic situation. We are watching and waiting with interest. Of course, they can write any name and surname on their own websites - it changes nothing for us - but we are interested in when the German bureaucracy will manage to emerge from this comic situation of its own making”, the PM said.
