Georgian prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday highlighted the country’s robust economic performance and its commitment to regional stability during a leadership panel discussion at the ongoing Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze emphasised that Georgia’s strategic focus on peace, progress, and development is yielding tangible results, positioning the nation as an economic leader within the European context.
“Our approach aimed at peace, progress and development is successful. If we look at economic indicators, Georgia’s economic development policy and overall policy have demonstrated their effectiveness. Over the past five years, Georgia has had the highest growth rate across Europe, averaging 9.3% since 2021. We also started the current year from a strong position: economic growth stood at 8.4% in January and February”, he said.
“This is our vision - to maintain peace and stability in the country and ensure economic progress and connectivity. With this approach and vision, we will not only preserve peace in the country but also contribute to peace in the region - the South Caucasus. We are very pleased to be strong partners of Türkiye in this direction”, Kobakhidze concluded.
