Georgian prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday reaffirmed his government’s commitment to human rights and fundamental freedoms during a meeting with the Council of Europe commissioner for human rights Michael O’Flaherty.
The meeting focused on cooperation between Georgia and the Council of Europe, as well as the implementation of the 2024-2026 Human Rights Action Plan.
Kobakhidze highlighted that media pluralism, freedom of speech, and freedom of expression are ensured in the country and guaranteed by the Constitution and national legislation.
