Kakha Kaladze, the mayor of Tbilisi and secretary general of the ruling Georgian Dream party, on Tuesday expressed optimism regarding the upcoming visit of a United States delegation to Georgia.
In his remarks, Kaladze positively assessed the planned visit and noted that the Georgian government was ready to reset relations between the two countries, stressing that such a process must be mutual.
“I have optimistic expectations, reinforced by the recent phone call between prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze and US secretary of state Marco Rubio, as well as the messages voiced during that conversation. Therefore, let us wait and see. We are ready to start relations between the two countries from a new page. Friendship and strategic partnership are important for us, and most importantly, all of this must be mutual”, he stated.
