Nikoloz Samkharadze, the chair of the foreign relations committee of the Georgian Parliament, on Thursday said that the relations between Slovakia and Georgia were experiencing a very positive dynamic, emphasising that the ongoing visit of the Georgian president to Bratislava served as a clear reflection of this growing cooperation.
In his remarks, Samkharadze noted that the agenda would include discussions on several key issues. In addition to bilateral relations, the parties are expected to address Georgia’s relationship with the European Union, as well as broader security challenges.
“Of course, we will discuss matters of bilateral relations. However, we will also review Georgia-EU relations, security challenges in general, and the challenges that both Slovakia and Georgia have as a result of the Russia-Ukraine war and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Therefore, we expect an interesting and fruitful discussion”, the official said.
Samkharadze further expressed hope that the president’s visit would be another step forward in further deepening relations between the two nations.
