Irakli Kadagishvili, the chair of the Georgian Parliament’s regional policy and self-government committee, on Tuesday said the phone conversation between Georgian prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze and US secretary of state Marco Rubio gives hope that the process of deepening relations between the two countries will continue in a more dynamic and businesslike manner.
“Our stated position is well known that strategic cooperation with the US should start with a new, clean slate and that this should have a truly meaningful impact”, Kadagishvili said.
“I think that this contact and communication gave us hope that the process of deepening relations between the two countries will continue more dynamically and actively”, he concluded.
