The US State Department has launched a page for updated international travel recommendations for its citizens, featuring a global interactive map.
Countries around the world are classified using a four-tier system that informs travelers about potential risks.
According to the interactive map, Georgia is currently designated at Level 1 - Low Risk, indicating that travel to the country is generally safe. The State Department advises US citizens to exercise normal precautions while traveling in Georgia.
Neighbouring countries Turkey, Armenia, and Azerbaijan are classified at Level 2 - Moderate Risk, meaning that certain areas in these countries may carry increased risks for travelers.
In Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus, the State Department has issued a Level 4 - Do Not Travel advisory, strongly urging US citizens to avoid travel to these countries due to heightened safety concerns.
