Mariam Lashkhi, the chair of the Georgian Parliament's education, science, and youth affairs Committee, on Sunday said Georgia would participate as a full-fledged member in the first forum of the Alliance of Sovereign Nations in the United States, noting that the central idea of the forum was to emphasise the principle that sovereign countries should determine their own future independently.
In her remarks, Lashkhi noted that during the Georgian parliamentary delegation’s visit to the United States, Georgia would express its readiness to reset relations between the two countries.
“As part of the visit, we will hold bilateral meetings at the United States Department of State, in the United States Congress, as well as at the White House. It will be important to voice Georgia’s readiness to reboot relations between Georgia and the United States”, she concluded.
