Georgia’s Government aims to reset its strategic partnership with the United States, said on Monday Georgian prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze, noting that recent high-level meetings have reinforced optimism for bilateral relations.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze emphasised the importance of formats such as the invitation of the Georgian parliamentary delegation to the US by republican congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna.
“We are patiently awaiting a reset in our relations. We maintain optimism, and recent meetings - particularly those held during the opening of the Milan Olympic Games, including discussions between our president and foreign minister and the US vice president and secretary of state - have helped sustain this optimism”, the PM said.
“Of course, such events, as well as parliamentary formats, are very important. We have a clear desire to reset the strategic partnership with the United States”, he concluded.
