Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Juraj Blanár on Monday said Slovakia has raised the issue of Georgia becoming the chair country of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
In his remarks at a joint briefing with his Georgian counterpart Maka Botchorishvili, Blanár noted that Georgia was capable of making a significant contribution to regional and international security.
“We raised the issue of Georgia becoming the chair country of the OSCE. It can make a major contribution to security issues, and therefore we welcome Georgia’s candidacy. Cyprus’s candidacy is also included on the list. Georgia’s candidacy is a compromise option”, Blanár said.
