Zoran Milanović, the President of Croatia, on Thursday declared his full support for Georgia’s efforts to preserve its territorial integrity during a joint briefing following his meeting with Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili.
In his remarks, Milanović noted that Georgia faced a difficult position in recent years.
“It is a great pleasure to be in Georgia. I have come as a friend of a valued host. I came to express solidarity. While solidarity in recent years has often been cynical, I have come to show full support for Georgia’s efforts to maintain its territorial integrity”, he said
“Georgia has been in a challenging position over the past years. This must be taken into account when assessing Georgia’s European Union integration, yet unfortunately, the opposite has often occurred, and your country has faced insurmountable currents”, Milanović concluded.
