Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday said recent signals coming from the United States have given the Georgian Government grounds for optimism regarding bilateral relations.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze noted that Georgia has demonstrated full openness toward resetting relations and restoring the strategic partnership with the United States, adding that further progress largely depends on the American side.
“This largely depends on the American side. Our hand is extended. We have clearly expressed full openness toward resetting relations and restoring the strategic partnership. We are optimistic. The recent messages we have heard from the American side encourage this optimism. Let us wait for further developments. Our desire is for the strategic partnership to be restored. We will wait for steps from the American side in this direction”, he concluded.
