Nino Tsilosani, the Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, on Tuesday criticised explanations by certain domestic non-governmental organisations regarding their registration in Estonia, calling such justifications “ridiculous”.
Speaking about the registration of some NGOs in Estonia, Tsilosani mocked attempts to justify whether these organisations were registered at a dilapidated building and efforts to present the building in a better light.
“This isn’t about whether Gela Mtuliashvili’s organisation is registered - it’s about collective ‘Gela Mtuliashvilis’. These are NGOs that have been funded for years to spread disinformation, negatively influence society, and, of course, keep our public in constant lies”, she concluded.
Diplomatic missions accredited in Georgia have remained silent for the third day regarding a letter sent by Imedi.
Imedi TV has asked the EU Delegation and the embassies of the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Estonia, and the United Kingdom whether they, or any state-funded programs, have provided grants to Estonian-registered organisations linked to Georgian NGOs.
