Rati Ionatamishvili, the Chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights Protection and Civil Integration, on Thursday said the Government was working intensively to lower prices and make them affordable for citizens.
In his remarks, Ionatamishvili further added that the Georgian Parliament would also actively work together with the Government on the issue of lowering prices.
“The public sees that the Georgian Government is working intensively to lower prices and make them affordable for our citizens. This means that the benefits that this process will bring will affect the well-being of each family. Therefore, it is important that all this is implemented in an optimal timeframe and that the Georgian Parliament, along with the Government, will work actively in this regard”, Ionatamishvili said.
The Georgian Government Coordination Commission continues to actively work with the business sector on the issue of lowering prices. This week, the Government Coordination Commission will hold meetings regarding pharmaceutical and fuel prices.
