Georgian Ambassador: Hungary supports Georgia’s sovereignty on all international platforms

Nika Laliashvili, the Georgian Ambassador to Hungary, on Friday emphasised Hungary’s strong support for Georgia’s sovereignty, highlighting the importance of parliamentary diplomacy following the visit of a Georgian parliamentary delegation to Budapest.

In his remarks, Laliashvili noted that such high-level parliamentary engagements play a crucial role in advancing Georgia’s interests on the international stage.

“Hungary supports Georgia - supports our sovereignty - on all international platforms. Meetings of this kind are extremely important. First of all, they are a clear manifestation of parliamentary diplomacy. In addition, they represent concrete areas of professional, sectoral cooperation that will be of significant benefit to our country”, he said.

The visit of the Georgian parliamentary delegation to Hungary has concluded. During the visit, delegation members held a series of meetings with Hungarian counterparts, including discussions with the heads of various parliamentary committees. At the end of the day, the delegation was hosted by the Vice Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects in the fields of education and healthcare.
