Georgia and US fully aligned on Europe, says Georgian Prime Minister

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday said his Government was fully sharing the position of the US administration regarding developments in Europe, stating that Washington is now echoing arguments Georgia has been making since early 2022.

“We absolutely share the position of the American administration, and not only share it - in practice, the American administration is repeating exactly what we have been talking about, especially since the beginning of 2022”, the PM said in his interview with Imedi TV.

He further added that the statements made by the US administration reflect the reality that has taken shape on the European continent, a reality Georgia has consistently pointed out.

“What they are saying about Europe is simply the truth, and that is why our positions coincide. We were speaking about the reality that had formed on the European continent, and now the American administration is saying the same. There is complete alignment here, and naturally, we fully share these statements”, he concluded.
