Davit Matikashvili, an MP from the ruling Georgian Dream party and Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules, on Wednesday said the unification of radical forces would not yield any results, comparing it to “zero plus zero”.
“Zero combined with zero leads to a result, and that result is zero. When radicals have no public support or approval ratings, especially Salome Zourabichvili [the former President], whose approval rating has fallen below zero, how do you imagine their unification?” the Parliament official said.
He added that any such alliance would be meaningless.
“All of this will be just another piece of empty paper and another illusion created for a very small number of supporters and for external patrons, in order to justify the salaries they receive from those patrons. Forces united in hatred toward Georgia will never have prospects or success in this country”, Matikashvili concluded.
