Peter Fischer, Germany’s Ambassador to Georgia, has again avoided directly answering Imedi TV’s questions about the content of his secret meeting with opposition activists, offering only a brief public explanation via social media.
According to information circulating in political circles, a confidential meeting took place on January 15 at the German Embassy, where Fischer met with members of various radical opposition groups.
More specifically, the Ambassador reportedly explained that current protest actions would not yield results in the future and that events in Georgia should develop in a manner similar to those in the Islamic Republic of Iran, where protests escalated following human losses and evolved into widespread radical movements.
When asked about the meeting with the German Ambassador and its content, the activists avoided answering, although they confirmed the audience took place.
