Irakli Kadagishvili, the Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee, on Thursday commented on the World Bank’s forecast that Georgia’s economy would grow by 5.5 percent in 2026, saying the projection was the result of peace, stability, and the implementation of a sound economic policy in the country.
In his remarks, Kadagishvili noted that the data demonstrated that the right policies had brought genuine leadership.
“We are a liberal, open economy. That is why we have high investment potential, which means that Georgia will attract even more investment in the future. This once again shows that this sound policy has truly brought leadership to Georgia”, the Chair said.
According to the World Bank’s forecast, in 2026 Georgia’s economy is expected to grow by 5.5 percent, Ukraine’s by 2.0 percent, and Moldova’s by 2.7 percent.
