Rati Ionatamishvili, the Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Human Rights and Civic Integration Committee, on Monday said Brussels should return to fundamental European values, which were primarily the rule of law and fair approaches.
In his remarks, Ionatamishvili noted that the decadence of values within the European bureaucracy became particularly apparent in relation to Georgia.
“Brussels should return to fundamental European values, which are primarily the rule of law and fair approaches. In relation to Georgia, the decadence of values within the European bureaucracy has become particularly apparent. All this actually poses a threat to the European Union itself. I am sure that a return to values will occur and signs of this are indeed visible in individual countries. The latest example was the election results in Czechia. We will continue on the path that we consider important for our country”, Ionatamishvili said.
