Gia Volski, an MP from the ruling Georgian Dream party and the First Vice Speaker of the Parliament, on Friday commented on the European Commission’s enlargement report, calling it politically motivated and serving a specific purpose.
Volski drew attention to the content of the report, stating that it deliberately overlooks Georgia’s consistent support for Ukraine and its alignment with international resolutions and political declarations.
“We rule out the possibility that the authors of this report are unaware of how many resolutions, statements, and political demarches Georgia has joined in defense of Ukraine’s interests. They are fully aware that organizing a revolution, provoking physical clashes, igniting fires, or attempting to burn down the Parliament does not comply with the legislation of any democratic state. All of this is well known, and when a report presents an opposing view, it is clear that the document is politically biased and serves a specific agenda”, the official said.
